I have a DVD recording from a VHS tape with chapters at intervals designated by the player that recorded it and also some snow after the end of the movie for about 15 minutes where I forgot to turn it off in time.
I'm really after the best way of repositioning the chapter points to exact locations at the start of certain scenes, as opposed to just at 5/10 etc intervals and I also want to get rid of the snow at the end of the recorded movie. The most important thing is to preserve the quality exactly - I would opt for leaving the DVD the way it is over losing quality just for fixing these two things.
I have Fairuse Wizard, Vegas 7 and ULead DVD Movie Factory. Could what I'm asking be done with these tools?
Many thanks in advance

I think that Ulead DVD Movie Factory should be able to import from a dvd and reauthor and edit without reconverting.
If not use TMPGEnc DVD Author, choose add dvd video and select the video_ts on the dvd, edit, make new chapters, menus and burn a new dvd.
Or do you want to keep the menus also? -
No, I can do without the menu really. And as I'm a beginner I'll just be happy with getting the chapters right and removing the unwanted snow.
