just a quick improvement suggestion: have some way to hide that progress window or change the timer that drives the progress bar animation to a lower rate, because now on my core2duo when doing heavy work the progress bar animation alone eats up 1/4 of the cpu, expect this to be worse on slower machines. simply hiding (command-h) does not seem to stop the animation from eating away cpu time.
