I am a true novice and would appreciate any advice.

I have Proshow Gold and am making a slideshow with photos and video. I am having trouble with the video. The video is a vob file and when i drop it in to the show it comes in upside down with green flickering.

I called the company and they referred me to this site. They also told me that Proshow gold only supports video in Avi, Mpeg, or Mov formats.

Can someone please tell me which format is best, and how do I convert these vob files.

Thanks in advance of any help.

    Update:

I just tried converting the vob files to avi and mpg but am still getting the same problem where the video comes in upside down and backwards with the green flickering lines.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it!

You don't need to convert the VOB file to mpeg, you just need to extract the original mpeg stream from within the VOB file. The strangely named VOB2MPG can do this for you. If you still have problems playing back the mpeg after this, then it is your system that is in trouble, not the video.
