    hi!

new hear, but usually when i use nerovision i would have a choice of burning to either dvd or cd,but now i can only get a choice of the cd without the dvd.

i have tried numerous things, but i cant get the dvd option.

i am thinking it may be due to me changing the region of the writer, does it need to be in any particular region? it is at region 1 just now, but i change it f need be.

    cheers

You might want to use imgburn instead , it's freeware and burn's all to both cd and dvd ... and you can get plenty of help for it in the forum .

The downloaded one may have been a trial version , and may not work after a specific period without payment for a serial to activate it ... you need to confirm if this is so .

There is a tool from nero , a clean out tool too remove any remainder's of the program from the system , but only use it after unistalling the product first .

Changing the drive's region will not cause this issue , but do not do this often ... the drive will lock itself to a region after a defined number of change's , and from there on , it remain's locked in the last chosen region .

Imgburn is not a replacement for Nerovision.
It may be used to replace Nero Burning Rom, not Nerovision.

    mattybungo,
To be able to encode and burn to DVD with Nerovision, you have to buy a DVD plug-in.

Read the initial post before jumping the claim ...

mattybungo has an issue of "burning to dvd" , not encoding ... but may , have neglected to include this as "the main issue" ... but that would have received a completely different answer .

Therefore , I stand correct ... and the very reason why I made no reference to the difference in the first place between the two product's .

I don't have any Nerovision experience, so this is just a "throw it out there in case it might be the issue" post (sorry if it has nothing to do with the problem).

Recent posts on another forum indicate that when trying to burn a DVD image that is less than ~900mb, it always assumes CD as the format (even if there's a DVD disc in the drive). So, how large is the project you are trying to burn?

Again, this might not be the issues, and it's Nero Burning Rom (not Nerovision) that the other posters had a problem with...

    Regards,
    George

    GeorgeW ... go right ahead

For me , it make's no difference what size the project is using nerovision , I can choose either ... it may relate to version's being used , and / or required plugin's .

Mine has both dvd and ac3 plugin's .
