I just tried to go to the RipIt4Me website, and am getting a page that says "This Account Has Been Suspended". I checked the Whois for RipIt4Me, and it says:That certainly doesn't sound very good. Has anyone heard what's going on? I know that sometimes a site just goes down temporarily, but I've never seen Whois entries like that before.Status:CLIENT DELETE PROHIBITED

The forum (at digital-digest) is still up, but nobody there seems to know what the problem is.

Now I can get it with Firefox, but IE still can't get it. After clearing the caches, and refreshing, it doesn't change. I tried Sam Spade, and it's getting the suspended page too.

I get:
I have Windows Washer, and so there's no cached pages etc. The above, for me, is a genuine response.
IE is my only browser. There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
Carpe diem.

Tried again (original success was with Firefox) with IE6. Still works.
Dunno what's going on.

Never been to that site before and it sends me here:

Maybe the suspension was long enough to cause the "suspended" page reference get to some DNS servers, but not all. Or the site returned and the "returned" pages haven't completely propagated yet?
I'm still able to get to it, even after doing a hard-refresh as daamon suggested.
More of my 2 cents

Interesting.
When I ping www.ripit4me.org, I see it resolve to 66.49.223.228
When I try to connect directly to http://66.49.223.228 I end up at the suspension notice.
What does the URL resolve to on your system(s)?John Miller -
Same IP address as your's.
However, NOW I'm seeing the "suspended" page. Seems like it was a propagation delay, or caching of the page upstream from me (shrug).
Hmmm.....

Seems ok. www.ripit4me.org comes up as 62.219.197.12
Edit: Was working an hour ago but it's not now! is suspended also. -
Seems to be two servers, from www.dnsstuff.com,
Domain Type Class TTL Answer
ripit4me.org. A IN 7200 62.219.197.12
ripit4me.org. A IN 7200 66.49.223.228
the later one is suspended -
I think their update site is down too (maybe the same site). I just loaded Ripit4me on my computer at work. I haven't used it for several months so there is no doubt a pending update is available but I got the message "No updates available" I presume when you load Ripit4me it phones home to check for updates. But if there is no home to phone - no updates.
