I know that wireless broadband is slower than the standard ol' plug a cat5 into your device and start downloading
And I know that broadband over USB is also slower.
    But how much slower?
And which takes the biggest hit -- wireless or USB?

I know, I know, there a lot of different types of wireless and g is the fastest.

I'm looking at 2 specific products here.
One is the Nintendo wireless adapter [which connects to a broadband connected PC's USB (which would NOT be a 2.0 in my case), so it may all be a moot question]: http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&sto...rderTotal=null

and the other is the Nintendo LAN adapter (which connects to the Wii's USB 2.0!): http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&sto...rderTotal=null
Nintendo doesn't have a pic on their site, so here's what it looks like:

Since Nintendo doesn't have any real specifications for these products, and I don't know much at all about Wi-Fi or USB broadband to make a determination on my own I figured I'd ask you guys (apparently I couldn't come up with the proper search terms for Google to help me...).

which of these devices would yield the fastest connection (theoretically assuming that optimal conditions for both were present)??

    TIA!!

  2. The original USB 1.0 offered data rates of 1.5 Mbps. USB 1.1 offered two data rates, 12 Mbps and 1.5 Mbps. My DLS running through a wireless router downloads (fairly stable) at 58Kbps. So even at the slowest USB speeds offered in version 1.0 it is far faster than my download rate through DSL. USB 1.0 doesn't look like a problem unless you have like a pretty fast cable connection I guess.
