I am currently trying to capture some videos my family has made in the past. My dad had a camera that supported SP and LP recording speeds and he would try them bolth out when he would record videos. That camera broke and i have my sisters camera and it doesnt support LP speed. When im trying to capture my videos it plays some parts of the tape in fast mode. Sence i dont want to go buy and new camera is there a program that can slow the speed down while you capture the video? I have ulead video studio 10, Nero Vision, and Cyberlink powerdirector and i didnt see in any of these programs if there was an option to slow down the play speed.

Cyberlink had a speed section but it just made the video longer.

Any possible way to do this????????????

What format videotape? You could try to rent or borrow a camcorder or just pay a dub house to transfer them to the camcorder format you have.

Depending on the format of the tape, you are losing more than just speed dubbing that way. If you had to do it your way, Vegas has velocity profiles to not only adjust speed but put spline control on velocity. Easier to get is dubbed correctly.

What video format/camera type are you asking about? VHS, SVHS, VHS-C, Hi8, DV, to mention just a few possibilites. You need to supply a little more information.

    And welcome to our forums.

It looks like some older 8mm and Hi8 supported LP playback. Ask around, borrow camcorders until one can play it. Or pay to get it dubbed.
