    Hello,
I have a lot of files that are mpeg1 video sized 320x240 that I want to burn to a dvd, keeping them in mpeg1 to allow more video per disc. To burn to a dvd, they need to be sized at 352x240. I used tmpgenc to resize one of the files, and it increased the file size from 4.7mb to 12.8mb. I selected the option to make sure that it didnt reencode it to mpeg2. I tried the program convertxtodvd, and the file size increased even more, because it converts to a mpeg2. Is there a program that can batch resize the files without more thaqn doubling the file size? I'm not even concerned about converting the the audio to 48k yet because, tmpg dvd author can do that.

  2. file size = bitrate * running time

Use a lower bitrate in TMPGEnc if you want a smaller file.

Thanks. I also got it to reconfigure the audio too. Feel like an idiot. :)
