  1. I've tried to copy a DVD twice using DVD Shrink and both times it looks like it's going to work, it goes all the way thru the analyzing process thru the whole DVD & at the end when it ejects the DVD this error msg keeps popping up & it won't let me copy the DVD, has anyone seen this before? What does it mean & how can I fix it?

    Error:\nCannot connect TRF.

    Superstar24,

That error is associated with DvdShrink when it attempts to use the NeroAPI version 6.6.1.4, which is exactly what you're using. People seem to have had success rolling back to version 6.6.0.18. This post by johnl123 tells you how to do that.

If you'd rather not do that, you could use redwudz's favorite, the version of DvdShrink available here that uses ImgBurn to do the burning (from inside DvdShrink) instead of the NeroAPI.

  3. Hi,
Thanks for your very helpful reply. I have a question though, in his instructions for the imgburn it says to unzip the files then save the unziped file to C:\Program Files\DVD Shrink\
does he mean to save the new dvdshrink program to there? Because after I downloaded the file the DVDShrink program came up and I wasn't sure what to save..

Well that's pretty sweet. Never knew someone did that with shrink and imgburn....I've always used copytodvd, but that is a sweet little process

    Superstar24,

Yes, you want to replace (overwrite) the previous version of DvdShrink with the newly downloaded one. It's probably in C:\Program Files\DVD Shrink\, but if you want to make sure, go to wherever you start DvdShrink from (desktop icon or Start - Programs - DvdShrink) and instead of left clicking on it, right click, then select Properties. In the window that pops up, on the Shortcut tab, in the Target box, it will tell you where DvdShrink is located. Coipy the new version of DvdShrink to that place.

  6. Vegas,
I just wanted to thank you for your very helpful reply. I went ahead and rolled the Nero back and it worked just fine, the DVD that I couldn't copy, copied just fine after I did that. I would've never been able to figure it out if you didn't reply with the info that you gave me. Thanks again!
