Hi, I'm new and I just searched all posible topics related and couldn't find one with my certain problem.

I have just borrowed a burnt dvd data disc, and it has only been used in a dvd player (which plays data discs). So, I thought I would grab the data off the disc, but for some reason my DVD drive will not read. I have two computers, one is a basicly new dvd drive, and they will both not read the dvd.

There are some reasons that might have caused this problem... if you think you know what the problem is, please tell the the solution as well as I don't know much.

Anyway, it could have been the DVD player that it was used on (although I have used DVD's like this before) It could be my cyclic problem, that has only popped up a few weeks ago (which has been on and off) or it is maybe just the disc itself (this is what I think, as it has not been used in a DVD-ROM/RW before, only my friends DVD player, and the one it was burnt in)

Any help will be much appreciated.
