unoperable menu on nerovision 4

Before anything happy new year mates! here's my problem, I've been authoring a couple of dvds with nerovision 4 and hadn't had any problems, but suddenly like two months ago every dvd i authored got stuck on the menu on my dvd player, no button worked and i couldn't even make the cursor move, i stopped having any menu at all in all following dvds since all i was doing were angry noises, video files were fine but my dvds just don't look that neat, any help or other software suggestions??

Get a real encoder and authoring tool.

Tmpgenc Xpress and TmpgEnc DVD Author is a good, low cost combo.

For free you could use FitCD/avisynth/HCEnc/ffmpeggui/GUIforDVDAuthor

I've tried the tmpg encoder and discarded it because it's really slow, but the dvd author is fine i think, thanks!

CCE Basic is very fast and cheap. HCEnc is faster than tmpgenc, slower than CCE and also very good. All of these will be slower than something like Nero, however with tools like Nero and WinAVI etc, the trade off for speed is quality and reliability - Nero/WinAVI have very little of either.
