Recently LiteOn contracted with BenQ to manufacture their writers for them. Unfortunately these new writers do not support K-Probe. Does anyone know of any other writers that support K-Probe?

I think you've got it mixed up, LITEON bought BENQ's optical storage dept. LITEON is manufacturing BENQ dvd burners from now on. K-probe can be used with the BENQ 1800 and 2000 drives. I have a 18x LITEON dvd burner that I crossflashed to the BENQ 1800 firmware. It can use BENQ'S QSUITE 2.1 & KPROBE. Check out the LITEON FORUM at Cdfreaks.com.

My Samsung (SH-182M) works with Kprobe2. IIRC the chipset is from the same OEM that LiteOn uses.
