  1. I was curious on the best way to rip a portion of a DVD to MPG2. The dvd is one made in a handycam, so it has no encryption, so that won't be a problem. What is the best way to isolate a scene and rip just that scene? Which program?
Also I'm wanting to rip it to Mpeg2 simply because that seems to be the best quality to edit in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, but if someone thinks another format would be better please let me know. I'm rather new to the video editing game.

    Thanks,

    Joey

  2. I think after trying it I found I could rip a portion using TDA then transfer it using VOB2MPG. The result is an MPG2. Would this be the best way to do it and the best format to use? I've heard some say that editing Mpg2s is not frame accurate. Is there a better way?
