Hello,
I have Liteon LVW 5006 dvd recorder. When I use DV cable, the date doesn't appear on tv screen. The camcorder displays the date on its lcd when I choose the date from the menu. But the date doesn't appear on tv. As a result it doesn't appear on DVDs and VCDs I burn. When I use analog cable, there is no problem with the date. Is this normal or is there a setting, which I couldn't find, for this?
Thank you for your help,
Osman

Most camcorders add the date/time to the analog video output - which is why it shows up on the LCD. Few, if any, can add the date/time to the digital, compressed DV video.John Miller
