I have a few DVD-Rs (Vakoss brand name) that I am unable to format on my Toshiba. I get an error message that they are protected.... Yet I can reformat these discs on my LiteOn 5005 recorder or on anyone of my 3 computer DVD burners...
These discs have only been used a few times and worked fine in my Toshiba. Other Maxell & Verbatim RW are not having this problem...
Any thoughts ?
TIA
Kenmo

You're having a problem formatting DVD-R? or DVD-RW? If it is a DVD-RW that doesn't get recognized in a DVR, I just format it in my computer so the disk has a different format. I stick it in the DVR and it thinks it is blank and will it format it fine.
