  1. Does anyone know how to convert DivX to SVCD and have it fit on 2 CDs? I've been downloading alot of SVCDs that fit on 2 CDs and the quality is excellent. Now I want to start authoring my own since I have alot of DivX, but when I convert from DivX to SVCD using TmpgE, file is so big that it only fits on 3 CDs. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

  2. The standard TMPGEnc SVCD template uses CQ VBR encoding which makes it hard to accuractely predict the bitrate and final size of your encoded mpeg file.
Instead you can try 2-pass VBR encoding along with a bitrate calculator to accurately produce a file at the desired size of 2 CDs. Set the Minimum to 0, the Maximum to 2520, and the Average bitrate to the number shown by the bitrate calculator. There are several bitrate calculators available in the Tools section here.
