I've been using Streamclip faithfully for 5-6 months, converting .avi files into iPod files. LOVE this program, especially the ability to tweak color depth, shadow on the fly (Quicktime Pro seems to flatten the color with their codec)

Was thrilled that the new release (1.1 for Win) now does the 640x480 for iPod size. I've encoded a dozen movies no problem.

I created a new .avi, and only a portion of the video actually loads into Streamclip. When I look at the streaminfo, only 2.0gb of the video opens at the clip is cut off significantly.

I thought perhaps there was something with my .avi's but I went and opened up old avis that I had converted successfully, and they fail to load the entire clip.

If I didnt know better, it "feels like" Streamclip now has a limit on how much you can encode, until you purchase the software (Streamclip is freeware as far as I can see)

I installed it on a different computer and still, my vids only open a portion of the total video.

I've reinstalled QT, reinstalled the k-lite codec pack, and still the whole vid will not load in to Streamclip..even raw .AVI that I have ripped right from tape.

Now I am beginning to think Microsoft did an autoupdate, and "something" has changed.

I've had to go back to using QT Pro to encode the movies, but they look flat and dang it takes forever.

Has anyone seen this before? It seems like such a simple thing. I did write the author several days ago, but I'm guessing he gets lots of tech support questions.
