Recording Phone Calls - Ideas?

Hey guys!

For my Podcast show, sometimes I pre-record telephone interviews and play them on my show if I have to.

However, I’ve been doing this with an old-school analogue cassette recorder, and, as you’d expect, the sound quality is not like digital.


Do you guys know of a good method to record phone conversation digitally?
Where both the interview subject and myself sound clear?


Any help would be great!


Also, just to let you know, I do go through the proper procedures legally to record these interviews.

It's a VoIP softphone similar to Skype but the software has built-in recording capabilities.
