    Folks,
I have two (2) VOBs, nothing else. They play just fine in PowerDVD. I wanted to put them onto DVD and adjust the audio in the process. However my authoring apps will not work from just VOBs they also need the IFOs. I have not tried to recreate the IFOs. I guess that should be my next try but....
I tried demuxing the VOBs into M2V and AC3 using TMPGenC+ all seemed to go just fine except when I loaded them back into TDA and TMPXP3. Both apps only recognize the first 14 frames and nothing (except audio) past that point. Yet the video file is well over 3Gb in size.
I then tried VOBEdit to demux. All seemed to work fine but TDA and TMPXP3 only recognize the first 15 frames. PowerDVD will play the M2V file without error.

Is there something that I have missed or any ideas on how to get past this dilemma aside from trying IFOEdit?

Same error if you just import the vob in tda? don't use the add dvd video import.

and maybe try demux with projectx, it may fix some bugs.

    Baldrick,
Yup, same error for TDA. It only recognizes the first 15 frames. The other import would not recognize the file since it was not an mpg file. It asks if I want to continue but the result is still the same. Only recognizes the first 15 frames.

I will give projectx a go.

    Thanks,

  4. I had the same problem when ripping VOBs from DVD, renaming them to mpg and then importing them into Vegas. Sometimes, but not every time, Vegas only recognizes the very beginning of the video stream, however the entire audio stream. I still don't know what causes this, but I found a workaround: I use tmpgenc express to demux and then mux the audio/video streams. After that "treatment", they import just fine. I'm sure this will fix your problem as well.

MVW works for me, and I can adjust the audio, too.
