WMP Embed video not showing/displaying

I hope I can find an anwser here.

On my pc every website that have windows media player video embedded in the website, I only see a blank page where the player is suppose to be.

I have compared settings of my pc to my laptop, the laptop does play and show the player, and I cant find some relevant to change.

I have google/yahoo//msn and cant seem to find how to restore the embedded wmp on website.

tried reinstall wmp 9 or 10 or 11?

It did somewhat the trick. I installed latest version 11.

I see control, player, can press play, but all I get is a black screen with sound.

The wmp install is corrupt. Most likely the result of associating a different player with wmv files. Check your file assiciations.
