    Hi!
    WOW, what a Great site!!
So many nice tech experts willing to help out.

I have a question about video editing, wondering if anybody can lend me a hand.
Want to make some personal MVs with movies I have on DVD.
I'm using Windows Movie Maker which doesn't import VOB files that DVD has so I need to convert it to WMV, does anybody know how to do that??

Also, workind under a budget, is there any Free Video Editing Software besides Win Movie Maker that anybody can recommend??

    Thanks for your reply, Baldrick!

But maybe it's just my computer but, for some reason, Win Movie Maker doesn't edit my mpg files properly.

Like I hit the mini-skip button to split the clips but the image doesn't move, like the screen frame freezes or something.

Does that happen to anybody else's computer??

There's also another problem I have where for even WMV files, Win Movie Maker cuts off like the last 3 seconds of the clips I import but that's better than not being able to edit the clips with MPG.

You might need another mpeg2 decoder like powerdvd, windvd, stinkys mpeg2 codec, etc.

But I would something else for mpg editing like VideoRedo or https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=107#107 . No easy FREE tool though.

Or convert the mpg to avi with virtualdubmpeg2 and use it in wmm.
