I HAVE FINALLY FIGURED HOW TO BACK UP AND COPY MY VIDEOS, BUT WHEN I PLAY THEM IT PLAYS FINE FOR ABOUT 3/4 THROUGH THE MOVIE THE SCREEN IS LIKE A SCRATCH THE COUNTER STILL GOES BUT THE MOVIE HAS JUST LITTLE SQUARES, THANKS

My ears hurt from the CAP lock!!!!! All caps means shouting out loud!
Sounds like crap media. since it happens after about 3/4 of the movie. The little squares as you put it, are artifacts, macro blocking or as it is sometimes erroneously described as " Pixelatiion " . Bad or cheap media suffers from uneven dye distribution on the DVD blanks among other things. Thus the freezes, blocking and other problems as the movie eaches those bad areas. Since you have not provided the really important info and the fact that these problems can be caused by a dozen reasons we would need to know the following: Source of the backups. Comercial DVDs, avi files, home videos etc. What method are you using to convert and or back up to DVD. What burner and what media would be nice to know as well.No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD! -
