how to burn films and games to disc in laymans terms

hi all
im new to this site and to burning dvd,s can any 1 explain in simple terms how to burn a film or game onto disc n wot files i shud burn to watch on stand alone dvd player , im trying to use nero but evrry time i get som sort of error message just doing wot im told is the simplest of things, i just want to burn films n games to disc to free up hard drive .ps be gentle with me thnxs kontrabanned.

ConvertXtoDVD for movies. If you still want to use nero you must give us more information, like what kind of movies? avi? and what is the errror message? are you using nerovision?

im using nero vision 4 and i aint got a clue wot files ,i just down them then open cotaining folder and try to burn like i said im brand new to this and sick of wasting dvd,s lol thnx

Convertx2dvd might be your best bet then. Downloaded files could be in any number of file types.
