CMC Magnetic Corp. These guys make a whole lot of CDRW's for different companies and they happen to make one of the few formulations that can be read by this DVD player. I tried everything, I even bought a new burner, but with the exception of two boxes of Imation CDRW's, nothing would work. The third box didn't either. So, short of EBAY, what could I do. Then it hit me, who made the CDRW's. I found a neat little program called CDR Identifier that reads the ATIP file on the CDR(W)'s. Guess what, the ones that worked were all made by CMC, the Imations that didn't were made by Mitsubishi. Memorex is made by Princo, they didn't work at all, though I here the more expensive Gold does. Wonder who makes those? Actually CMC does! I spoke with one of thier engineers. They also make Nashua, Verbatim, K-Hyper Media(sp) and Frys brand for you west coast people.
If anyone has found any other brand that works, please let me know or better yet check the manufacturer and let me know.
Thanks.
