I have 2 Seperate AVI Files. I want to combine them and Write onto 4.7GB DVD.

I have Avi2dvd software. But I don't know how to combine 2 AVi files into one..

or is there any better or effective software to convert AVi to DVD? I need freeware..

AVI2DVD should work OK. I use ConvertXToDVD, but the older freeware version, DivxToDVD is available in 'Tools' to the left. <<<<<< Either works very well. With those, you should just be able to drop both the AVIs in there and let the program combine them.

Or you could use VirtualDub and 'Append' the second AVI to the first one. Watch out for MP3 VBR audio. It may cause a major sync problem unless converted to CBR audio. VirtualDub will warn you about that, or you can check for VBR audio with a program like Gspot 2.60, plus get other useful information about the video.

    And welcome to our forums.

I suppose there are many ways to do that but one way is by appending those avi files in VirtualDub. They will need to be the same framerate, framesize, codec, etc, or they won't append.

Load the first file, slide the play slider all the way to the end, then File - Append AVI - and load the second file. Then go Video - Direct Stream Copy then File - Save As. This will simply create a new file of the combined avis without reencoding them (no loss of quality).

    Good luck.
