2 tiers of subscription
basic and one that allows transfer to portable device
it is unclear if the basic allows you to only stream rather than save tracks to your pc. If you want to burn them, it is clear you have to buy the track with either tier.
I tried the free basic and could not find a way to "save" files, only playlists.
So, do I have to be connected to the internet to play no purchased tracks or is there a way I can play them on my pc( still DRM protected) without being connected to the web?

I have it.
If you have the pc only subscription you can download your subscription tracks and play them whenever you want. You just can play them on a mp3 player.
The top tier plan allows you to download the subscribed tracks to your pc AND to your mp3 player. The catch is you have a limited selection of SUBSCRIPTION compatible mp3 players. All playforsure mp3 players will play your purchased tracks. Only the designated subscription players will play the subscription tracks.
EDIT - Click the PLUS button next to the track under the selection "MY MUSIC". That will initiate the download.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
In my documents - a sub folder called my yahoo music I believe.
By the way I don't know for sure if you have to have a continuous internet connection to play the subscription files. When they are downloaded they have a license attached to them. You should be able to play them without a net connection as long as the license is current. You can redownload the license of course - its a right click option. (my dsl is always on so I don't know if you can play it without a net feed).Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
