I'm about to give up on dvd authoring! I've spent a full day trying out tons of freeware programs and checking out tutorials and wasted a few dvds in the process.
I finally found a program that seemed to work smoothly and was relatively user friendly, AVI2DVD, yet I keep having the same error.
I have 4 files. 2 cd's and two subtitle files all with the same names., example
namecd1.avi
namecd2.avi
namecd1.srt
namecd2.srt
The video joins well yet right after the video joining as the program is about to start the subtitles I get this message " is not a valid integer value

If you look at your srt files, you will find the timecodes both start at 0 (or close too) as they are written to run with separate files. You need to use something like subtitle workshop to join the srt and adjust the time codes.
