    I have premiere pro 1.5 and am trying to capture dv from a friends camera, his camera is a Panasonic PV-GS65. For some reason premiere says it is offline and can't capture. When I go into MY COMPUTER it says that the camera is an external drive. Any ideas? Thanks so much in advance

    DV is generally "captured" (transfered more to the point) via FireWire.
