  1. I am transfering my home DV video from my zr100 camcorder to my computer using windows movie maker. I am opening the caputured avi files in TMPG and when I preview the video in TMPG it plays in slow motion and the audio is not at normal speed.

I have tried both TMPG 4xpress and TMPG 2.5 and still get that slow playback.

Even after encoding the avi to Mpeg and playing the Mpeg in windows media player, it is slow.

    any answers on this?

The preview playback may be slow but the output should work fine.

Has it ever worked? Maybe try another dv-codec like panasonic dv codec or another mpeg encoder like mainconcept mpeg encoder.
