I folks, i just got my hands on a 1h and 32mins long Xvid that i'ld like to convert/burn to a DVD-RW. Are there any very simple ways of doing it? I have very little knowledge of burning and converting, I can burn one dvd to another (using the .bin .cue files etc) but thats it. So any help of burning an Xvid to DVD would be great, BTW, i'm not fussed about 5.1 sound etc, aslong as i can watch the dvd on my dvd player, i'll be happy.

    Thanks

You could use FitCD to create a custom AviSynth script. Both FitCD and AviSynth are free. Then you input the AviSynth AVS file into a MPEG-2 DVD spec encoder such as HCenc which is also freeware.

Do you know what kind of audio is in the Xvid AVI file?

You might want to load the Xvid AVI into GSpot and post the image here. That will give me or anyone else reading this all the info needed to offer detailed help on how to do the conversion.

For info on how to capture and post images read this ---> CLICK HERE

Once I see what kind of audio you have I can tell you how to process it correctly. Again a GSpot screenshot will give that info and more. GSpot is also freeware.
