    I don't see a lot of use for it, especially in that small of size. You can put 4GB or more in some of the newer motherboards. If you used some of that system memory for a RAM-Disk, you would have about the same thing. And you can use STR (Suspend To Ram) to keep your data alive presently between reboots. All existing technology.

    They have already came up with hard drive replacements using RAM, they will likely be used in laptops first. They will be much larger capacity, probably in the 20 - 40GB range. But the price is a little steep at present.
