    hey guys,
I've got a small problem. I had a scratched DVD and I recovered the video (VOB) files onto my HDD. I used the option "Replace with dummy data". Now I have a few VOB files whose video streams have been corrupted. How can i fix it? I read somewhere hat i can do so by using VideoRedo but I don't want to install an entire software for such a small task. Are there any alternatives?

Unlikely you'll be able to fix the problem via software. Read more about Brasso.

hey thanks, Brasso wasn't the answer i was looking for but it surely does a pretty good job at removing scratches. How long should i rub it with Brasso? That was one thing I couldn't figure out. Once I'm through cleaning the DVD i try to recover the files using ISO Buster. However, there are still some errors that crop up. I use the "Replace with dummy data" option in ISO Buster and carry on. Now When I've recovered all the DVD contents. I try to use DVD shrink to do the other necessary stuff, such as remove subtitles, remove useless audio streams etc. The problem lies in the fat that DVD Shrink doesn't recognize the DVD files at all. I read somewhere that once you try the recover VOB files from a scratched DVD using ISO Buster, the video stream gets corrupted. However the entire video stream isn't corrupted and can still be fixed? How? I really hope someone finds me a solution. I have to recover the video from quite a few great DVD's which would other wise go to waste. Thanks in advance guys!
