I am new to this and have a VCD movie, how would I make or burn a copy (backup) thereof? Thanx.

It all depends if you have menus, chapters etc. on your original that you would like to keep - or not. If you are just interested in the video feed which you would like to watch on your pc, then use VCDGear to extract/convert the dat file in the MPEGAV directory and store it as mpg on your hard drive. If however you would like to copy/store etc. on another CD-R then use a Disk Copy program like Nero offers you.

Read the guides on this site they are not only descriptive but many of them even have screenshots so it really leaves little room for error almost every problem you come across someone already had so search the forum

Couldn't you just copy the whole disk.... using what ever program you have, after all its just a cd.
