any suggestios for a free software that will let me record video files (wav) into a format that my DVD could read it?

wav is no video file. If you want to do Video DVD with music, try Audio DVD Creator. Not free, but doing it with some free DVD authoring app would take a long time to do, and and even longer to learn, I'm afraid.
Or just create a data DVD with your wav's encoded as mp3 (CDEx to encode, CD Burner XP Pro to burn) if your DVD player plays mp3 data discs.
