I converted a Home DV file from AVI (huffyuv codec) to DVD using TMPGEnc, then burned the resulting mpg file directly onto a CDRW and it played in my Apex 1500. It was about a 1 minute video and it "stuttered" or seemed to go slo-mo once during playback. Are there any particular settings I can change to the template in TMPGEnc that would overcome this?

it may be because of the high dvd bitrate...try lower it a bit.

Is it unusual that the mpeg will play without using a special burning program like Nero?
