    You sure are dysfunctional!
    Vegas is an editing application

You need a DVD authoring application

Did you notice there's no way to design "BUTTONS" to launch clips
in VEGAS.. Thats because its for editing..
NOT AUTHORING or BURNING a DVD

Nero also may BURN a DVD,
but for Authoring you'd need SONY DVD ARCHITECT or the COMPONENT of Nero Burning Rom called DVD BUILDER or such

If you bought the Vegas + DVD package then you have DVD Architect. If not, try GUIforDVDAuthor to get you started. Never use Nero to author DVDs

You also wanna choose "RENDER AS" not SAVE AS in the file menu of VEGAS 7 so it creates an MPEG-2 clip (with sound or not) you can drop or select it as the video of your piece.
Which eventual CHOSEN AUTHORING APPLICATION is up to you

    Some Authoring Tools

    Encore
    DVD Lab
    TMPG DVD Author
    Spruce Maestro (defunkt)
    DVD Studio Pro (mac)
    iDVD (mac)
Ulead DVD Movie Factory (I hope I got that right)
    Reel DVD
    Scenerist
    DVD Producer
    DVD-it!

    DVD ARCHITECT

    and lissen to yer gunslingers
Never use Nero to author DVDs
