    I would like to take some of my movie backups with me to France (I am in the USA). Will I be able to view them on a standard DVD player over there? I made the backup mostly with DVD Shrink or Decrypter.

    Most likely. The odds are in your favour that you will be able to play your DVDs on a PAL player, however there is no absolute guarantee as there are some PAL players that are resolutely PAL. They are in the minority though.

    I sell DVD's and ship all over the world. I make them region free and they play everywhere.
