Just a quick question regarding TV-Out on my PC?
My graphics card has TV-out capabilities so i connected it up to my tv using an s-video cable and an adapter from maplin

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=47315&criteria=monster%20s-video&doy=3m11

I can now see my desktop on my TV, all is well.

The only thing is I cant watch video files on my TV using this method. Is this normal? I have downloaded a video podcast which worked and vids on YouTube seem fine but any vid I have downloaded wont play.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong or if it is possible to watch video files on your tv using this method? This was the main reason I bought the adpater cause I was burning to many DVD's

I have an ATI PCI express x800 graphics card. When my desktop appears on my TV it is simply a clone of what I can see on my monitor. The videos play fine on the monitor in this scenario, but not on my TV.

The refresh rate is fine at 60hz as my xbox360 runs ok on my tv. The lowest screen size available to me is 800x600, cant seem to get it any lower.

    Thanks.

  2. Enable Theater mode in the ATI drivers.
