Shooting a lot of video on my Sony DSC-T3 camera.
It records in "Muxed MPEG"
I have two computers, a desktop and a laptop. They have the same basic setup.
On the laptop, I plug in the memory stick, and the video is perfectly fine.
On the desktop however, no matter what the source (memory stick itself, or copied to the hard drive) the playback is short.
For example, if the video is one minute long and I play it, the running time is listed as thirty seconds, after thirty seconds the audio continues to play, but the video stops as if the clip is supposed to be over.
For playback I have tried - Windows Media Player, Adobe Premiere, NeroVision.
The only way I have been able to use these clips is to open them in VDub, and convert them to AVIs, and then work with them from there.
It's very time consuming and a big waste of hard drive space.
I have run the Sherlock application, and not found any "broken" codecs.
If anyone has been through this already, or has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!!!!
