I have an old pc running windows 98. I was able to backup several movies before DVD Fab upgraded. I tried to upgraded to the new DVD Fab Decrypter 3 and now it will not open. I have tried all three releases with the same results. It says it install fine but when I double click on the icon it opens then I get an error box. Saying that DVD Fab Has an error and needs to shut down. What could be causing this? Like I said it was working fine before I upgraded.
Thanks,
Robert

Have you tried to contact Fab directly about the problem? I remember reading a topic a few days ago that someone contacted them about a problem, and they quickly responded and fixed the problem. Few people are using W98, and they may not know about the problem.
Some days it seems as if all I'm doing is rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic -
Yes I contacted them when they first released 3.0.2.0 about the problem. And I have yet to hear from them.

If win98 accomplishes what you need to do on a computer, there isn't much motivation to change. According to this fairly recent analysis (based on computers connected to the internet), more people are using win98 than the combined Macintosh os's, more than WinMe, WinNT, Linux, etc. In fact, it's the third most popular os (xp at 87% is the leader).
Besides being win98 compatible, the "PSL2 Plugin for PgcEdit" uses DvdDecrypter and FixVTS much like RipIt4Me does, and works on the newer copy protections that DvdDecrypter can't handle on its' own. -
There's also a difference between 98 & 98SE,98SE and Me are closely related and have better support.
