Hi,just tried to burn an AVI movie to disc(w/DTS soundtrack) using NERO's make data dvd function.Usually works for my other AVI files. But I've never had one with a DTS soundtrack. When I load it into my stand-alone dvd player(which decodes AVI files) I only get the DTS soundtrack but the picture is just the menu screen, where you normally select the file you want it to play/decode but you have no options to pick. Thanks

What is the video codec in the avi? DivX,XviD ? identify with Gspot. And it could be DivX with GMC or Qpel that wont work on all divx dvd players.

I should correct my post, the Xvid(it's 4.2 GB HDTV rip) dvd loads fine, just once I select the movie file to start,I only get the DTS soundtrack but the picture just shows the "file select" menu screen w/ no selectable options.

Most stand alone players have restrictions on resolution and file size. Most won't play files with a resolution higher than 720 x 480/576, and have a file size limit of 2 GB

Well,it seems OPPO just released a firmware update at the end of last month that fixes the file size Divx problem, wish they'd send me an email when they release firmware updates.I guess I gotta check their webpage more often! Will check at home once I install the new firmware.Hopefully that solves the problem. If it doesn't,I'll burn again w/ Image Burn instead of Nero

But what is the image size/resolution? It wont work with resolutions higher than 720x480/576 as guns1inger says. Reencode it then with for example avi recomp, autogk.
