Macrovision Corporation is out of ideas, so now they are carrying out law suits aganist companies that offer dvd ripping tools. This web site is for the protection of our wallets/bank accounts! If the people of the middle working class were to stop buying movies that will put a bigger crash in the movie industry! So remember the working middle class has the right to use dvd ripping software to protect our investment. It is pretty much the same way as having insurance on our vechicles in case they were to get damaged in a accident! So the way I look at dvd ripping tools is just insurance in case I have an accident with my dvd movies. Put it this way..If there ever was a way to clone my car I would do it! Just like I copy my front door key over and over....do you know how many keys get lost or break?? sure front door keys are only cheep to dulpilcate.... but a new lock cost more and so are dvd movies. Times are tough and some people buy movies to help cope with rainy days.....and if they ever damaged there dvd by accidently dropping it on the floor and it scratched by of some what the person is just upset about how much money they just lost!
To solve this issue, prices need to drop or just include back up dvds with the movies without jacking up the price or the problem is just going to increase

And this is news how? Macrovision isn't doing anything different that they haven't been doing for a good while now..Remember DVD Decrypter? Thank MV for it's demise.
This thread reads more like something that belongs in the Off-topic forum or something. Also, I don't think there's a specific rule against it, but I'd imagine the mods frown on cursing in the thread title. -
I really do not appreciate the language used in this post. There is no place or need for this on an otherwise excellent site.
Blessings, John, W3JR -
Crack,
Get a grip!
Frankly, most of us share your sentiment.
There are now and always will be ways to defeat Macrovision.
Foul & crude language is a turn off in these forums.

Already then sorry for the language.... I know that macrovision is easy to defeat.....I have programs such as dvd decrypter, dvd shrink, rip it for me, dvd fab, (Movie clone 2,3, 123 copy dvd which dont work here in canada anymore unless you have dvd 43 or some other decrypter plug in. but these programs don't copare to dvd decrypter nor even shrink 3.2. Right now dvd fab is the best due to Macrovision's Rip guard is on the movies "RV" and "Click" and dvd fab sticks by it's name for the fab job by cracking rip guard!!
I was just a little peaved about the letter macrovision sent to pee-body about not having ripping tools on this site. I really hope holywood companies will get the idea that macrovision does really suck....but it also sucks when I hear some people got their dvd scratched and their child is crying cause there little mermaid dvd got damaged cause there dog got at it and chewed it to bits. it is funny that the dog knocked over the rack! So I introduced these people to this web site so they could download dvd fab and shrink 3.2 to back up their dvd's
Im one person who is not new to macrovision! I hated the vhs copy-protection so I also know electronics and by removing 2 resistors and replace (3) 1micro-ferrad capasitors with a 100 ohm resistor and 2micro-ferrad capasitor in the vcr's destination drive..(part of the automatic gain control)(AGC) The Copy-protection is then by-passed but not gone. Giving a really good copy! but well vhs is pretty much phased out now!
Well again I will keep my language out of this fourm!Man do I ever enjoy doing what I do best! -
You're sorry for the language but you post it again?
He's a liar and a murderer, and I say that with all due respect. -
This is not news. Moving to Newbie/General. And dvdcrack, please read our rules about obscene lanquage before posting. And thank you for apparently changing it before I saw it.

EDIT: Then I saw the other post with the obscenities. That will get you a warning card. -

being in Canada - we use the word "phoque" a lot ....
it means a "seal" (as in "we were clubbing seals today for only two hours")"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -

within a thread isn't so bad but in a subject it's a bit trashy
plus it's the ONLY reason that made me read this thread
. If it is allowed in subjects then won't people use it annoying ways just like HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP or PLEASE READ!!!!!! or isn't it allowed?
moving the thread back to the Latest News without leaving a shadow here and then moving it back leaving a shadow (as you would normally) will modify the subject title to what it is now instead of the old subject title if anyone is interested -
According to the General rules for the forums that we all agreed to, Vulger or Obscene posts are not allowed. You can find examples of Mods swearing because the rules for Off Topic specifically allows swearing as an exception to the general rules and Off Topic posts do not appear on the front page.
