  1. Trying to backup my Silent Hill movie and I tried all kinds of DVD Ripping progs and none of them can bypass it. I tired DVD Shrink, Smart Ripper, DVD DEcrypter, and clone DVD. Is their any possible way to bypass this protection.

    Thanks
    Cheers

I personally, and quite a few other use AnyDVD along with DVD Decrypter to rip DVDs and remove protections and various other annoyances from DVDs

You could try DVDFab Decrypter which is freeware, as I don't use it I can't comment on how good it is, but people who do use it seem happy enough and its also updated frequently when new protections come out. This should be able to do what you are looking for

    Ghettorapboy7,

My suggestion would be to try RipIt4Me. It's free, flexible, the rip is more dvd standard compliant than most others, and I haven't seen a disc it doesn't work on.

I was able to back it up with the usual DVDFabDecrypter, VOBBlanker & DVDShrink. Got some funky errors in VTS 19 but I just ignored them because it wasn't the main movie and I was blanking that VTS anyway.

No problems here using DVDFab. I did not use DVD Shrink though.

  10. For those of you using DVD Fab...I also had the same problem where it cut me off after ~3.5GB. After checking the version I found out I was running with an outdated version. After upgrading to the latest version (2.9.8.3) it worked like a charm. Then I opened the files with DVD Shrink and was able to burn just the movie with minumum compression (9%)
