  1. Hi,

    Althought I am not sure this topic belongs here, as I couldnīt find another forum, I try.

    When I want to burn some files using Nero Express, I using the next syntax:

    1X01 [Name file]
    1x02 [Name File]

    The problem is, is that it orders in the next way:

    1X01 [Name file]
    1x10 [Name File]
    1X11 [Name file]
    1x12 [Name File]
    1x02 [Name File]
    1X03 [Name file]

    Is there a way to avoid this?

  2. I've numbered tracks like this:

    01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09,10,11 ect...

    and the order is correct.

    Why are you using "X" in the naming process?

    I am using the X to sort out that the files comes from disc 1.
    I am converting my MiniDV files to DVD and thought this way I could easely find a way back from which disc they came from.

    I just renamed the files like you did, but still the same problem. It orders like

    10
    11
    12
    2
    3
    4

  5. Thats odd.

    Did you definitely put the "0" before the second number? Because it looks at the first number like 1,2,3,4 ect.... and puts that first as I can see from your post:

    1
    10
    11
    12
    2
    3
    4

  6. Even when I rename them to 01,02,....,010,011,... it does the same.
    Starngly when I look at the files in Windows, it sorts them correctly. But in nero it sorts them like on Characters, not numbers..... Is there an option in Nero so that it sorts it right?
    The software is original, came with the PC.

    01
    02
    ...
    09
    910
    911

    atleast it orders them in the right order.....

    You will need to put the "0" infront of the first 9 number eg 01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09 but then when you reach 10 you dont need to add the "0" infront eg 01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09,10,11,12,13,14 ect...

    It will add the 01,02 ect... first because it looks at the first,lowest number "0" then it will look at the next higher number 10,11 ect... because they begin with "1" and are a higher number than "0" ect....

    I hope you understand what I mean.

    So continue to name the files like this:

    01
    02
    03
    04
    05
    06
    07
    08
    09
    10
    11
    12
    13
    14
    15
    16
    17
    18
    19
    20
    21
    .......................

    Notice how it looks at the very first number (In Bold) and arranges the files that way.0 first,then 1,then 2 ect....
