My Simple Photo Album VCD Flopped

I followed step-by-step directions to make a simple photo album VCD with Nero 5.5. Used 84 jpgs of various sizes that were on my hard drive. Burning went fine (no errors). Used CR-RWs that my Sony DVD player recognizes (Memorex Platinum & Fry's GQ). When I play the VCD, instead of a whole picture, the right half of screen is the Sony stand-by logo, other half is most of the picture broken up in bars. When next pic comes up some bars are from the current pic, some are from the pic before it. Tried a number of times with same results. I've been at this for hours...help!

I am having the same problem. I used Ulead DVD Picture Show to create my VCD. I am using a Sony 850 DVD Changer and CD-RW's that are compatable with the player and like you I get messed up pictures. I have bars left over from the last picture, sometimes the Sony logo in the background shows through, the MP3's are all screwed up. I have not had the opportunity to try another player but I will try the disk in my parents DVD player tommorow.
