Tmpgenc wont open my avi file...!

Hi everyone, im tryner convert avi's to mpg2 using Tempgenc 3.0 xpress but get a error message everytime i hit add file and select my file...


"could not open the video part of the file C:\ documents and settings\desktop\test.avi only the audio part can be opened."

ive reinstalled\uninstalled it several times and dunno what else to do...

can anyone offer some advise!

What is the video codec in the avi? identify with gspot or avi2clipboard. Then try reinstall that video codec.

If that wont work try something else like ConvertXtoDVD.
