Using a Sony HC1/HC3 for shooting sports

I am looking at purchasing a new camcorder and I am now leaning towards the Sony HC3. I mostly shoot my son’s sporting events (baseball, football and basketball) as well as vacations. My concern has to do with shooting fast action with the new high definition technology. When I watch sporting events on TV that are shot in high def and played back on my DLP TV in high def, the picture looks great but I see a digital blurring when the camera pans quickly to follow the action. The reason this concerns me is if I notice this when sports are shot on expensive network cameras, how bad will it be when shooting with a consumer/prosumer grade camera like the HC3. Has anyone used there HC1 or HC3 to shoot sporting events and did you achieve good results?

it may not be so much the camera , but the compression for broadcast that you are seeing .. and/or your display ....

I do have a HC1 and fast action shooting render is perfect but, take care of too much zooming and your camcorder should be on a tripod.
In HiDef and on a big screen, unstable images will make you sick...
