dvd-lab pro 2 compiled dvd black screen on menu

i have made a dvd with dvd-lab pro 2, the menu had a main menu (vts 1 menu 1) and a subtitle menu (vts 1 menu 2) and in the connections the title and first play is going straight to the vts menu 1. when i tried it, it came up with a black screen but when i chose the chapter on my dvd player it started playing.

how do i get over the black screen???

Is this is still menu, or a motion menu ?
Have you updated to the latest version (2.18) ?

this was a still menu just with some music added to it, i'll try updating and get back to you, does it look ok to you??

No, actually, it doesn't. Looking at it again - what is the VMG menu doing there ? It isn't needed, but I suspect that is what you are seeing when the disc starts up. Delete it and compile again.

this may sound stupid but how do i delete it? i looked but can't find how to anywhere

Either click on the icon in the connections window, or in the structure list down the left, and hit the Del key.

that was the problem! after i took the vmg menu out it was ok.
