I then clicked dvd to put it on that instead but it said it need vob files.... dvd files.

If you burn as a data cd it will fit.

But do you want it as a vcd or svcd?

If you want a dvd-video you need nerovision or some other dvd converter like convertxtodvd.

I can think of several options. If you want to burn it to a CD, you should be able to convert it to a ISO and burn that without Nero objecting. Use 'Burn Image' under 'Recorder'. 'Burn Image' allows you to put more on the disc as no error checking is included with the file to take up CD space.

You could also use the freeware ImgBurn to create a ISO and burn it.

Or you could burn it to DVD as a data disc by selecting 'DVD-ROM (ISO).

Or you could author it with a program like GUI for dvdauthor or DVDAuthorgui, and then use Nero and the 'DVD-Video' setting. It's kind of a waste for that small of a file on a DVD, though.

But it would need to be DVD compliant to author. See 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper left.

how do you create a ISO from a video clip using ImgBurn?
I tried to save a ISO to a folder and then burn that ISO so I clicked on build and then output ---> image file but all I got was a MDS file and a WinRAR file with the video in it.

    what am i doing wrong?

Probably nothing - I bet you have ISO files associated with WinRAR. But to verify, do you have file extensions hidden? If so, un-hide them and verify that the image that was created was in fact a .ISO file (I bet it was )

(To un-hide file extensions, open up a Windows Explorer window, go to "Tools" and select "Folder Options...". In the "View" tab make sure "Hide extensions for known file types" is UNchecked. Apologies if you knew this and have already looked into it.)
