The error appears to be a media error. You might want to try different media. Media changes, depending on the brand and sometimes the box. Whatever, changing media is the easiest thing to try for a change or to fix a problem. You might want to look to the left and see what others are using with your drive in: 'DVD Writers'.

And if you use Shrink (And DVD Fab Decrypter when needed) you might want to switch over to ImgBurn instead of DVD Decrypter or Nero for burning. ImgBurn is updated continually, where Decrypter is not any more. You can go to this site and get a setup for Shrink that will use ImgBurn to automatically burn your backups. There are two problems that jump out at me. 1.) You are using junk media and 2.) you have an ancient drive. The latter problem MIGHT be correctable by updating the drive firmware from HPs site so that it can recognize modern discs. However, it's a 2.4x drive - that's fairly old, and may not be supported. The former, well, here's the golden rule of DVD media: If it says Made in Japan on the label, it's good stuff. Verbatim media is the sole exception to this rule, which is also top-notch stuff. Don't bother with anything else. FYI, Taiyo-Yuden (the best) is available from supermediastore.com or meritline for about the same price as the stuff you'll see on special in most stores; 25-35 cents a disc is a good price and you don't have to pay tax or gas, let alone that you'll be getting good stuff.

    hayez,

As redwudz said, your burner can't deal with this media. While I've never used MBIPG101-R04-01, the VSO "burners and media report" shows it has a 96.17% success rate in more than 180,000 burns, which is slightly better than TYG02, so it is good media. Unfortunately, even good media doesn't burn right under the wrong conditions. Your burner may not be able to work with some newer media (like these disks). Normally, updating the drive's firmware helps it work with newer media, but you're already using the latest firmware available from the manufacturer.
it worked before, just not with this computer
When "it worked before", it's most likely you were using different media. In that case you can go back to using the media that you know works for you, and save this media to use in the next burner you buy (whenever that is).

The only other thing I can think of would be redwudz's suggestion to try ImgBurn. It might work, but if DvdDecrypter can't get the drive to accept the media, I wouldn't be overly optimistic about ImgBurn being able to.

Based on the log that hayez provided, the interface (firewire, usb1 or 2) isn't currently a problem. When a drive "Failed to Write Sectors 0 - 31", it can't even write the first block of sectors. It's choking before it can burn a floppy worth of data.
